In this episode, I deep dive into one of the longest surviving sports nutrition products on the market - sports drinks. 

For the purpose of this episode, sports drinks are Gatorade, Powerade, Staminade, and similar products.

Sports Drinks have a large market and are consumed by athletes of all levels in all sports. It’s not uncommon to even see the general gym goer sipping on a bottle of colourful sports drink deliciousness. 

Sports drinks are designed to help athletes perform at their peak level and they have been heavily studied over the decades so today I am going to tell you the truth around sports drinks and if they are ACTUALLY worth it (and who and how they should be consumed).
