Episode #102: Breaking The Stigma & Fear of Carbs - Insights & Perspective from a Sports Dietitian
Show Notes

In this episode, I deep dive into the ongoing and long term stigma around carbs and the fear it has generated in athletes of all ages and sports.

Carbs have often be seen as the villain of the nutrition world due to the belief it causes weight gain and health issues. As a Sports Dietitian, I have seen the impact this has had on the lives of many athletes (including my clients), which is why I want to address this from my perspective and with the insight of being a sports nutrition professional.

So if you want to learn about carbs, the impact this can have on you, and to find out if carbs should be feared/avoided in the first place...then this episode is for you.

In today’s podcast, I will cover:

  • The truth about carbs (should they cause cheer or fear?)
  • The history of carb fear (why did carbs become a villain)
  • Carbs and the athlete (why this is a relationship that makes sense)
  • Insights from a Sports Dietitian (key thoughts I have about carbs as a Sports Dietitian)

Listen to the full episode to learn the truth and get a deeper understanding of effective fat-loss.

Hope you enjoy!
